Cable TV Rate Increase - Effective March 1st, 2010

Why is there a cable television rate increase?
Increased rates from our programmers.  Every year many of our programmers raise their rates for the content we provide to our customers. In addition, to regular rates for each channel we carry there are additional charges to receive special programming such as sports and the Olympics coverage.

Why did you remove Encore Movies from the digital package?
Moving the Encore channels to a special package helped Rainier Connect keep the cable rate increase down to a reasonable rate. Without this change, the rate increase for the digital package would have had to be more than the $4.00. Encore channels are a premium service included with the STARZ SUPER PAK, which gives access to 13 channels for $12.99 a month, along with free access to the On Demand titles from both Starz and Encore as well.

What new features or value have been added to Rainier Connect cable television?
Over the last year we’ve made many value-building upgrades to our service including the addition of new digital channels & HD channels, and Video On Demand, which allows digital subscribers to view free programming on demand as well as the latest movies in digital format.  To offer these requested services to our customers, we have invested in new equipment to add more channels and storage capacities.
