What would you rather pay for a song – 99¢ or $80,000?

A Minnesota woman was recently fined $1.92 million for illegally downloading 24 copyrighted songs off the internet. That works out to $80,000 per download.

Downloading or file sharing materials such as music, movies, computer programs and other documents illegally is a serious offense. Aside from the legal and financial issues that can occur, illegal file sharing also leaves your computer vulnerable to harmful programs like viruses and spyware.
